Course 8

Pelvic health
Di Wu

Di Wu is originally from China, where he received his Master of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine,  and worked as an orthopedic surgeon from 2007 to 2010.  After coming to Canada, he attended McGill University and received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2013. He is now a clinical physiotherapist at Physio Cabrini, Montreal.

Di treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and pelvic disorders in both male and female for more than 6 years. He has a special interest in the impacts of musculoskeletal conditions on pelvic health. As a certified Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) therapist, he innovatively used MDT as a screen tool to rule out lumbar spinal sources of pelvic pain and dysfunction. He has described this approach in a case study which was published in the journal Physiotherapy Theory and Practice.

In addition to his clinical practice, Di is engaging in promoting pelvic health internationally. He has been a lecture at several international conferences and given workshops on pelvic health. In the fall of 2018, he organised an intensive pelvic health training program for Chinese physicians in Montreal, Canada.
